Privacy Policy
We collect very little, we do not track you, and we never sell anything. This is the whole policy in plain language.

Who we are
Beesy Academy provides online, cohort based professional training. When this policy says "we", "us" or "our", it means Beesy Academy. When it says "you", it means anyone who writes to us, applies for a course, or takes one.
You can reach us about anything in this policy at support@beesy-academy.com.
What this policy covers
This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who else sees it, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers the beesy-academy.com website, our application and contact forms, and the delivery of our courses.
We have tried to write it in plain language. If any part of it is unclear, ask us and we will explain it, and we will fix the wording.
What this website does not do
This website does not use analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, session recording or any third party embed. It does not load fonts, scripts, images or styles from anywhere other than this site.
We do not set any cookies. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to. If you visit this website and never write to us, we do not learn anything about you beyond what our web server records in order to serve the page.
Our web server keeps standard request logs, which contain the requested address, the time, the response status and a shortened form of the network address the request came from. These logs exist to keep the site working and secure. They are deleted after 30 days and are never used to build a profile of anyone.
Information you give us
You only give us personal information when you choose to send it. There are three ways that happens.
- When you apply for a course, using the enrollment form or by email, you send us your name, email address, the course and cohort you want, what you want to be able to do differently, how many hours a week you can protect, who is paying, and optionally your role and organization.
- When you write to us with a support or general question, you send us your name, email address, the topic and whatever you write in your message.
- When you take a course, we hold your enrollment record, your attendance, the work you submit for feedback and your certificate record.
Our forms do not send anything by themselves. Submitting either form opens your own email program with a message already filled in, so you can read it before you send it. Nothing reaches us until you press send in your own email program.
Why we hold it, and on what basis
We hold what you send us in order to answer you, to decide whether a course is a fit, to run the course you enrolled in, to issue your certificate, and to meet our accounting obligations.
The basis for holding it is either that we are taking steps at your request before entering a contract, that we are performing the contract for your course, that we have a legal obligation such as keeping financial records, or that we have a legitimate interest in answering correspondence somebody sent us.
We do not use your information for automated decision making and we do not profile you.
What we never do
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone, in any circumstances.
We do not add you to a marketing list. We do not run a newsletter. If you apply for a course and do not take it, we will not send you anything afterwards trying to change your mind.
We do not share your information with advertisers, data brokers or analytics providers, because we do not use any.
Who else sees your information
Inside Beesy Academy, the people who handle applications see application information, and your instructor sees your enrollment record and the work you submit. Nobody else has access.
Outside Beesy Academy, three kinds of provider are involved, and each sees only what it needs:
- Our payment provider processes course payments. We never see or store your full card details. The payment provider holds them under its own terms and its own security obligations.
- Our email and file hosting providers store our correspondence and course materials, as any business email system does.
- Our accountant sees invoice records, because we are required to keep proper financial records.
If somebody with legal authority compels us to disclose information, we will comply, and we will tell you unless we are legally prevented from doing so.
Course sessions and recordings
Live sessions are recorded so that anyone who misses a week can catch up. That means your voice, your name and, if your camera is on, your image may appear in a recording. Your camera is never required.
Recordings are shared only with the people in your cohort and your instructor, and they are deleted 90 days after the course ends. We do not use them in marketing, we do not publish them, and we do not use them to train anything.
If you would rather not appear in a recording at all, tell your instructor before the first session and we will arrange it.
How long we keep things
Applications that do not lead to enrollment are deleted after 12 months. Correspondence is deleted after 24 months. Course records, including attendance and certificates, are kept for 6 years so that we can confirm a certificate somebody earned. Financial records are kept for as long as tax law requires, currently 6 years. Session recordings are deleted 90 days after a course ends, and server logs after 30 days.
When a retention period ends, the information is deleted rather than archived.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, to correct anything that is wrong, to delete it, to restrict what we do with it, to give it to you in a portable form, or to stop relying on legitimate interests to hold it.
Write to support@beesy-academy.com and we will act within 30 days, usually much sooner. We will not charge you and we will not ask you to justify the request. If we cannot do something you have asked for, because we are legally required to keep a financial record for example, we will tell you exactly which part we cannot delete and why.
If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to your local data protection authority. We would rather you told us first so we can put it right.
Security
Access to student and application information is limited to the people who need it. Accounts require multi factor authentication. Information is encrypted in transit and at rest with our hosting providers.
No system is perfect. If a breach happens that puts your information at risk, we will tell you and the relevant authority promptly, describe what happened in specific terms, and say what we are doing about it.
Children
Our courses are for working professionals and we do not enroll anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information about children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to support@beesy-academy.com and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we handle information belonging to current or former students, we will email those students directly rather than relying on them to notice.
How to contact us
Write to support@beesy-academy.com for anything to do with this policy, including a request to see, correct or delete what we hold. For questions about applying to a course, write to hello@beesy-academy.com. Both addresses are read by people.
