Desmond has delivered projects in construction technology, local government and a mid sized software company, which means he has planned work under a fixed budget, a public consultation and a launch date that could not move. He is unromantic about method: the plan exists to help a team decide what to do on Tuesday.

He joined Beesy Academy in 2022 after a decade as a delivery manager and program lead. He teaches project management to people who never asked to be project managers, and workload design to people whose calendars stopped being theirs some time ago.
